2014 goes down in the books as one of the most unpredictable years in my LIFE. There were a lot of highs and a couple of lows. I enjoyed the company of loyal friends, made new friends, reconciled with old friends, and found out a couple of friends weren't who I thought they were. As we go in to a New Year, we automatically start making resolutions and goals before we look back to see if we followed through on our past resolutions. My resolution last year was to do my absolute best to love everyone- including the people I just met, people who I have nothing in common with, and those that hurt me. For once in my life, I feel like I have followed through on a resolution. I think God saw that I set a goal that would finally glorify Him, and He equipped me to succeed the best I could. Most of all, He equipped me to learn from extremely challenging situations and embrace the beautiful ones. There are a few moments from this past year that sparkled more than others...
I sang karaoke to "Baby got back" in front of a whole lot of people with my soul sister Noelle.
I went rollerblading... a lot.
I played in a dodge ball tournament on trampolines. We didn't win.
I watched a lot of awesome babies grow up.
I watched a lot of babes graduate from high school and move on to bigger things.
...and I graduated from college!
I got a bar muscle up and ring muscle up... one of my biggest goals in Crossfit!
I spent an amazing week with with high school girls in Daytona Beach!
I went on mermaid adventures with my family.
I competed in a CrossFit competition at Disney World with two hardcore and inspiring ladies.
I watched my friend marry the love of her life. Love you Noelle and Ben!
I ate a macaroni and cheese sandwich. I can die happy now.
I started a small group with ladies from my gym and it ended up being one of the biggest blessings.
I met Olaf!
... and I met Zachary James Neelands.
I've been asked what my New Years resolution is for this next year and I didn't have to think too hard about it. My New Years resolution from last year made such a big impact in my life that I figured I'll go for it again. Staying in shape and other things of that nature are great, but I think if we all tried to love people better the world would look a little different.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
